Hey, I’m Steph

I’m the founder of Destination: Dream Job.

When I was younger I always wanted to be a vet. I instead decided to move to a different city after high school and started working.

I experimented with all sorts of jobs, in fact, I had 32 jobs in 15 years. 

I would start a job, learn all the ins and outs of it, and then get bored and move on.

I changed my college major 3 times, trying to determine what would be the right fit for me.

I had so many passions and things I wanted to learn about, narrowing it down to one thing seemed wrong.

People joked about it – what’s Steph up to now? They would wonder. 

For years, I always thought there was something wrong with me.

Why couldn’t I pick one thing like everyone else?

I finally settled on working in the non-profit world and was running a small charity which provided me with the right amount of variety for my multi-passionate identity.

In 2020, I was laid off. I took some time and really think about what it was that I wanted and decided to jump full-time into business as a resume writer and career coach.

This past year, I was introduced to Emilie Wapnick’s Ted Talk – Why some of us don’t have one true calling and I saw myself.

Finally, all my job changes made sense!

There wasn’t anything wrong with me, I was just multi-passionate.

I realized that it was my dream (for now anyways 😆) to help other people who are multi-passionate design a career they love.

I created Destination: Dream job to serve other people who have multiple passions and don’t know what their next steps are.

My goal is to help you clarify your passions, build your confidence and develop a career story that helps you land your dream job.

Hey, I’m Steph and I am a Career Story Coach.

My goal is to help multi-passionate professionals embrace their authenticity and design a career they love. I have spent years fighting against my multi-passionate identity and I now realize that it is my superpower and I help other people like me build their life around multiple passions.

I hold a Bachelor of Social Work Degree and am a Certified Resume Writer and Interview Coach through Career Professionals of Canada. I hold a certificate in trauma-informed care because everything is connected and when we are trauma-informed, we connect better with others.

I am excited to be here on your journey. I look forward to supporting you in the next stages of this adventure we call life.
